Nishkam came into existence 35 years back, with objective of serving the humanity especially the helpless widows, orphans, destitute. irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The emphasis of Nishkam all along has not been on distribution of goods or cash,  but on making the people self-supporting by providing vocational, medical and educational assistance.

The goals of Nishkam, broadly  are:

• Relief and Rehabilitation efforts for those afflicted by man made or natural disasters. 

• Highlight and lead efforts at improving the quality of education.  

• Support the senior citizens, who have no or limited support from their families.

• Assist the communities cut off from the faith, culture and community. 

• Create avenues for employment by supporting & training needy Women of rural areas. 

• Health Care to Poor.

• Provide support to orphan children, for education, daycare and build to good citizens.
